Pleasant hotel in the Foret de Orient area, we stayed just one night as a stop over on a longer journey. Staff were lovely and kind, but service generally was very slow. Dinner service was much better and the food and wine delicious.The swimming pool was pleasant, although the surrounds a little tatty. A short walk took us the the lakeside path, which was beautiful.

Good location with the proximity to the Lac d’Orient being a very short drive away and around a 20/30 minute walk. Our bedroom was very comfortable and clean with good facilities and nice soft towels. The staff at the hotel were welcoming. Maxim, the Manager, was always very friendly, helpful and professional. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings that we stayed and had a delicious dinner and were served by a very professional, efficient and friendly lady (unfortunately we didn’t get her name). Both mornings of our stay we had a good breakfast at the hotel and again the young man in the breakfast room was always friendly.

- The General Manager was extremely helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble for him. - The building was lovely and like one of the old traditional Logis from the outside. - The location was very good for a convenient stop over through France and was quite near (but not on) a large reservoir which is very popular with holiday makers from all over though more for families than elderly couples I think. - The bed and bed linen was very comfortable.

Location. Great overnight stop as not far off A26 near Troyes so breaks journey nicely between Calais & Morzine. It’s a 5min walk to the huge Lac D’Orient which has a 20mile circuit you can walk/run/cycle. Great for stretching legs. Restaurant: excellent value for money, food is a cut above what you’ll find elsewhere. This trip we had cod with the most delicious lemon beurre blanc sauce. Open on a Monday night which is rare! Room: we were on the ground floor, large room & bathroom looked recently refitted, done very nicely. Bed was comfy - but pillows were far too soft. Staff: very friendly and helpful. Spa: free use of the facilities so worth making time to mKe use of them.

The hotel is located in a pretty French village. It looked perfect from the outside, and as I was to find out, perfect inside. We were the only guests. The chef, a very pleasant gentleman, provided a wonderful veggie meal. The receptionists were truly nice people. The bed was so comfortable.

There were mistake room hand over and personnel correct mistake immediately with good co-operation and friendly manner! Excellent restaurant and vast and excellent selection of vines from all regions of France. Lot of pleasure for eyes and appetite!

This is a modern hotel with some character. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were travelling with two small dachshunds and they were made welcome. The dinner in the evening was quite special and well presented. At breakfast, there was a good variety and choice. All in all, a very comfortable and enjoyable overnight stay.

Really comfortable bed, good bathroom and storage space. Great location for a stopover on the long journey back to Calais, with a fabulous French a la carte restaurant and very attentive staff.

Clean well sized room Efficient, quiet air conditioning. Good facilities with spa, swimming pool etc. We decided to eat our evening meal at the hotel (we usually go out somewhere) and the food and service was excellent Well located for a short drive into Troyes
